STEUBENVILLE – The Franciscan women's lacrosse team earned the No. 3 seed in the 2019 Presidents' Athletic Conference championship tournament. The Lady Barons are set to face the No. 2 seeded Washington & Jefferson Presidents on Tuesday at 6:00 pm in the opening round game.

Game Preview
The Lady Barons and Presidents will meet for the second time this season after the Presidents' won the first contest 15-4 in Washington, PA. The Presidents took a 9-0 lead into halftime before the Lady Barons got on the board in the opening three minutes of the second half. W&J held off any late game come back from the Lady Barons for the win. Senior

Brittany Bain made 15 saves in net for Franciscan. Rae LaRochelle finished the day with five goals and two assists while Clara Sherwood won five draws. Sam Lenfesty made 12 saves for the win.
Franciscan enters the game with a 8-6 overall record with a 5-2 slate in the PAC to earn the No. 3 seed. The Presidents are 8-7 overall and went 6-1 in the conference to earn the No. 2 seed.
Last Time Out
Following the loss to the Presidents, the Lady Barons finished out the season 3-1 in their final four games, including a 16-12 win over Saint Vincent for the first time in program history. The Lady Barons ended the season with two-straight wins, an 18-4 victory over Bethany and a 20-2 win over Waynesburg on Senior Day.
The Presidents come into the game on a four-game winning streak. Over the four games, W&J has out-scored opponents 65-11. The Presidents defeated Thiel 21-3 on their Senior Day last Saturday.

- Freshman Grace Deegan and senior Carly McDonald lead the Lady Baron scoring this year. Deegan set the program's single-season scoring record with 55 goals and 12 assists for 67 points. McDonald has 62 points this year behind 35 goals and 27 assists.
- Senior Elizabeth Jordan once again anchors the defense for the Lady Barons with 57 ground balls and 44 caused turnovers for the year. Jordan also has 30 draw control wins on the year.
- Freshman Suzie Rosaschi has been impressive in the middle for the Lady Barons as she has won 41 draws this year and picked up 12 ground balls. Rosaschi also caused 10 turnovers so far.
- Senior goalie Brittany Bain has played every minute in net for the Lady Barons this season and has 158 saves this season.

- Rae LaRochelle leads the Presidents with 86 points this year behind 64 goals and 22 assists.
- Sofiya Bobrovnikova is second on the team with 22 goals and 21 assists while Clara Sherwood is second on the team with 27 goals.
- Sherwood leads the Presidents with 55 ground balls and has won a team-best 56 draw controls.
- Alexis Miller leads the President defense with 35 caused turnovers this season.
- Sam Fenfesty and Sara Maute have split time in goal for the Presidents this year with Lenfesty leading the way with five wins and a .550 save percentage. Lenfesty boasts a 6.26 GAA in 10 games (five starts) for the Presidents.
