NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Franciscan men's soccer team used a pair of goals in the second half to defeat Westminster after a two-day postponement, Saturday afternoon.

The Short Story: With the game tied 1-1 with just over 23 minutes to play,
Sebastian Koehler sent a ball into in front of the net as he was running out of room at the end line and sophomore
Mikey Irvin finished it off as he slid past a defender and picked up his first goal of the season.
How it Happened
• The Titans struck first after Ivan Mojica got Westminster on the board with a goal in the upper right 90 off a pass from Ahmed Cisse in the 36
th minute.
• Sophomore
Nick Miller ripped a shot just two minutes later but it was blocked and a shot from sophomore
Matt Kuefler had his shot blocked in the 43
rd minute and the Titans held a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

Sebastian Koehler drew a foul just inside the box to set up a penalty kick. Head coach
Christian Bobak tabbed sophomore
Nick Miller to take the PK and Miller went to the bottom right corner to tie the game at 1-1.
• With just under six minutes to play, Koehler pushed a ball up from the end line to sophomore
Mikey Irvin who slid past his defender and powered the ball into the back of the net on his slide for the 2-1 lead.
• Franciscan had one final attempt in the 89
th minute but were called for offsides and the score held 2-1 in favor of Franciscan.

• The Barons out-shot the Titans 18-15 while Westminster held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
• Miller finished the day with five shots, including his successful PK while Koehler had four. J

Brian Gaughan played all 90 minutes in net for Franciscan and made nine saves, including six in the second half to keep the Titans off the board in the final 45 minutes.
• With the win, the Barons improve to 2-4-1 in their all-time series against Westminster with both wins for Franciscan coming on the road.
