STEUBENVILLE – The Franciscan men's soccer team pushed their winning streak to three games with a 6-1 win over Washington & Jefferson, Tuesday afternoon.

• The Short Story: The Barons posted three goals in each half for their highest offensive output of the season. Franciscan has now won two-straight games against the Presidents.
How it Happened
• Franciscan wasted no time as junior
Joe Muldoon made the most of his first career start with the Barons. Muldoon headed home a high pass from sophomore
Mikey Irvin to give Franciscan the 1-0 lead just 4:40 into the game.
• Junior
Sebastian Koehler made it a 2-0 game as he collected the rebound after freshman
Andrew James' shot hit the crossbar and came back into play. Koehler rocketed home a shot into the back-left corner with less than 10 minutes to play in the first half.
• W&J got on the board after a foul in front of the net set up a good penalty kick for Junior Ofori-Mensah.
• Senior
Kevin Herrmann pushed the Baron lead back to two with his first goal of the season thanks to a leading pass from sophomore
Chris St. George with just 51 seconds to play before the break.
• Following halftime, senior
Mark Fioramonti got on the board with his first of the year as he finished off a pass from Koehler in the 53
rd minute.
• Sophomore
Nick Miller got in on the action and he nailed a free kick just outside the box into the upper right 90 for his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 57
th minute.
• Freshman
Nick Cross put the finishing touches on the scoring for the Barons as he got his first goal of the season thanks to James' second assist of the game with less than five minutes to play.
Inside the Box Score
• The Presidents out-shot the Barons by a slim 12-10 margin, but Franciscan held a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal.
• Junior
Brian Gaughan and sophomore
Will Mooney shared time in net for the Barons with each keeper making two saves. Gaughan spent the first 74:21 in net before Mooney relieved him for the final 15:39. Mooney made his two stops in his first three minutes of action.
• Six different Barons scored a goal while nine players found their way on the score sheet.
• The five-goal win is the largest goal differential in a Baron win in the all-time series with the Presidents.
