STEUBENVILLE – The Franciscan men's soccer team improved to 4-1-1 as the Barons earned a 3-0 win over visiting Waynesburg, Wednesday afternoon.

• The Short Story: The Barons took the lead early with a PK in the 14
th minute and never looked back as they shut out Waynesburg for their fourth-straight win.
How it Happened
• The Barons got on the board first as
Nick Miller converted his second penalty kick of the season in the 14
th minute.
• In the 25
th minute, junior
Sebastian Koehler grabbed a through ball and dribbled through a pair of defenders to put the Barons up 2-0 midway through the first period.
• Franciscan got two more shots off before the end of the first but had to settle for the 2-0 lead at the break.
• Franciscan got three shots off in the first five minutes of the second half, but could not find the back of the net.
• Junior
Brian Gaughan made the first of his three saves in the second half in the 60
th minute to keep the Yellow Jackets off of the board.
• With less than four minutes to play, junior
JP Bobak scored his first goal of the year as he took a tough angle from the right of the goal and tucked it in the back left corner as he was running toward the end line.
• Gaughan made his final save of the game with nine seconds left in the contest to preserve his third shutout of the year.
