STEUBENVILLE – The Franciscan men's soccer team used a pair of first half goals to defeat visiting Heidelberg, 2-1, Wednesday afternoon.

Sebastian Koehler scored a highlight-reel worthy goal in the 20
th minute and sophomore 
Nick Miller added his seventh tally of the year to help Franciscan close out non-conference play with a 2-1 win over Heidelberg.
 
How it Happened
• At the 19:51 mark, junior 
JP Bobak flipped the ball backwards and over the Student Prince defenders and he was falling out of bounds for junior 
Sebastian Koehler who bicycle-kicked it above a Heidelberg defender to give Franciscan the 1-0 lead.
• 
Nick Miller added to the Baron lead with a head's up play by Koehler to get Miller the ball across the box. Miller caught the Student Prince goalie on his heels and buried his seventh goal in the last six games.
• Junior 
Brian Gaughan made a great save with less than 10 minutes to play to keep Heidelberg off of the board in the first 45 minutes of action.
• The Student Princes got on the board in the 58
th minute as Kyle Morton scored on a PK to break up the shutout.
• Franciscan was able to control possession in the final 10 minutes of the game to hold on to the 2-1 win.
 
Inside the Box Score
• Franciscan held a slight 24-22 advantage in shots and a 3-2 lead in corner kicks.
• Each goalie on either end of the field made six saves in the 90 minutes of action.
• Miller led the Barons with six shots, including the game-winning goal.
