Barons Host Medaille in Pivotal Conference Matchup

STEUBENVILLE, OH- The Barons are coming into this game after a tough fought loss at Penn St. Behrend on Saturday, while Medaille is coming in on a roll winning three straight. This is a #6 vs. #7 matchup currently in the AMCC with Medaille having the slight edge at the moment.

  • Medaille got the better of Franciscan on their home court 85-74. Returner Brandon Roach went off that night by scoring a career high 30 points including 8-9 from downtown. John Noce led the way for Franciscan by notching his career high of 20 points that included a 9-10 night from the charity stripe.

  • Sean Hickey has been the Barons most consistent scorer as he is averaging 16.3 ppg while shooting 42.3% from behind the arc.
  • Sophomore Travis Lien made a strong debut against Behrend, after studying abroad in the first semester, he scored 19 points with 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals to lead Franciscan in each category.
  • Franciscan's field goal percentage defense is an AMCC worst as their opponents are shooting it at 47.6% from the floor.
Scouting Medaille
  • The Mavericks offense is led by Senior Guard Kirk Hawkins, who is third in the conference at 18.9 ppg. He has scored 20+ points in six games this season, including the last two.
