Matt Trent made a game winning jumper with under one second to play. Mount Aloysius won as well on Saturday to put them back to .500 and in the final 6th playoff spot for the time being.

All-Time Series Against Mount Aloysius
- Franciscan is 7-18 all-time against Mount Aloysius, including a win earlier this season.Â
- Earlier this year in Cresson, PA, the Barons won 72-63. Sean Hickey led the offensive attack with 27 points, including six made three pointers. Justin Mack added 12 points off the bench, as he made a trio of threes as well. Franciscan shot 52.6% from three on the night. The Mounties were led by Nate Christian's 23 points which included five made threes. Julian Stover added 20 points in the loss as well. The Mounties shot very well from the field at 52.3% on the night.
- In the Mounties last trip to Steubenville last season, Franciscan won 63-53. Hickey had another strong night as he scored 18 points all in made threes. Matt Trent had a double double of 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Freshman Travis Lien scored 10 points off the bench. Julian Stover led the Mounties in defeat with 21 points.Â
Scouting Franciscan
- Matt Trent has really stepped up for the Barons, especially in the last two weeks. He is averaging 17.5 ppg and 8.2 rpg over his last six games.
- Travis Lien has continued to be the Barons most consistent scorer in the second semester, as he is averaging 17.1 ppg. If he qualified for AMCC statistical standings, he would be 5th in scoring.Â
- Franciscan's defense came out to play in a huge way in Saturday's win. They held the Lions to 52 points, the least they have allowed all season.
Scouting Mount Aloysius
- Nate Christian has led the Mounties on offense this year. He is averaging 17.6 ppg, 4th most in the AMCC, including nine 20+ point games this year. He is also shooting 48.7% from three this year.
- Guard Julian Stover is second on the team in scoring with 13.9 ppg. Spaniard Carlos Palacio has been strong inside this year as he is averaging 12.2 ppg and 7.9 rpg. He has a team high six double doubles.
- The Mounties have had a strong defensive year so far, as they are second in the AMCC in points allowed at 67.0 and three point field goal percentage defense at 30.7%.
