How It Happened
Franciscan baseball played their second home game of the season, as Penn St. Behrend traveled to Steubenville for today's non-conference matchup. This was the first game for the Lions in twelve days, as they were trying to snap a five game losing streak. They were able to do so in a big way, by winning 21-7 on the blustery day.

Franciscan took their only lead of the game in the bottom of the first, as they scored three runs to take a 3-2 lead. Andrew Normandin hit a sacrifice fly to score lead-off hitter Patrick Wallace. Wade Stoehr singled in Aidan Hickey, and Daniel Halsey singled in Michael Maynard. Hickey and Normandin each had RBIs in the second, but they could not overcome the eight-run second inning of the Lions. Patrick Wallace got the offense going again in the seventh, as he drove in Daniel Halsey, and then Aidan Hickey hit a sacrifice fly that scored Dylan Robb. The Lions would register 30 hits to score 21 runs and win 21-7.

At the Plate
- Aidan Hickey was 1-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
- Andrew Normandin drove in two runs as well.
- Patrick Wallace had three hits to tie him with Jacob Machado for the most hits in program history.
- Lions hit four home runs including two off the bat of Stouffer.

On the Mound
- Starter Jonathan Perez pitched one inning with three earned runs.
