How It Happened
The Barons finished their non-conference play on the road versus Hiram. The Barons defense was at its usual strength. They allowed only 7 shots and 2 SOG, but Hiram made the most of the 2 SOG. The Barons threw a flurry of attacks at the Terriers, but were unable to get a shot through. The loss tonight is the first loss of the season for the Barons. Hopefully tonight's loss sharpens the men further as they enter conference play and make a run at the conference title.

Inside the Numbers
-The Barons outshot their opponents 18-7 and 11-2 in SOG
-Jonathan Schriner had a season high 3 SOG
-The Barons had 12 corner kicks to the Terriers 2
-The Barons 11 SOG are a season high for the team

Who's Next?
Franciscan will remain on the road, as they open up conference play at Waynesburg on Wednesday evening. The Barons are 9-5 all-time against the Yellow Jackets with wins in their last seven meetings. Last season the Barons won by a score of 5-2 in a game that had 46 shots taken combined. Chris St. George scored the game winner for Franciscan for his first and still lone collegiate goal.
