Short Story:Â Franciscan won several events while breaking or improving numerous schoo records in their final tune-up before the PAC Championships in less than a week.

Highlights for the Women
- Victoria Unnerstall placed fourth in the 400 meter with a time of 1:07.57 which would be a new personal-best.
- Angelina Toole placed seventh in the 800 meter with a time of 2:47.49 to place second among runners from the PAC.
- Barons placed first and second in the mile, as Claire Walrers took home the gold. She posted a time of 5:30.19, and Rachel Hurley placed second with a time of 5:49.09. Emma O'Keefe placed sixth with a time just over six minutes.Â
- The reigning PAC Rookie of the Week, Clara Symington, kept up where she left off by improving her school record time in the 60m hurdles. She placed second with a time of 9.70 seconds.Â
- Alana Bradford would etch her name in the record books, by breaking the school record in the long jump. Her best jump of 4.67m (15'4") beat her personal best by over a foot to break a twelve-year old school record from Julie Randall.
- The Barons ended the night by improving breaking the school record time in the 4x400 for the second time this season. The team of Rebecca Bolster, Jessica Campbell, Claire Walters, and Clara Symington ran a time of 4:19.99 to break their previous record by over eight seconds. That time is currently third fastest in the conference this season.Â
Highlights for the Men
- Three Barons qualified for the finals in the 60m dash. Joseph Rohde led the way, as he improved upon his school record time by running it in7.15 seconds to win the event. Ryan Ozymy placed fifth with a time of 7.31, and Antonio Santoro ran it in 7.51 seconds to place 8th.
- Matthew York placed 12th in the 400 meter with a time of 58.47.Â
- David Cappello shattered the school record time in the 800m while setting a new fastest time for the venue as well. He completed the race in a time of 1:53.94 to break his teammate Ryan Ozymy's record by nearly three seconds and win the event. That is currently the fastest time in the PAC this season.Â
- Miguel Daez made it three Barons to reach the top of the podium, as he won the mile with a time of 4:23.56, a new season-best time. Conal Delaney and David Di Nardo placed third and fifth to give the Barons a very strong showing in this event.
- Alexander Blose would place 6th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.32 seconds. He was not able to improve upon his school record in pole vault tonight.
- Nicholas Brass improved upon his own school record in shot put with a best throw of 13.31m. That would beat his old mark by three feet, and move him up to fifth best in the PAC this season.
- Ryan Ozymy would win an event as well, by posting a time of 22.95 in the 200 meter dash. Alexander Blose placed fourth with a time of 24.13.Â
Up Next
The Barons next stop is the PAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Youngstown this coming Thursday. Field events are scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m., and running events to start at approximately 3:00 p.m. The Men placed second out of 10 teams last season in their best finish in program history at a conference championship, but they are hungry to earn their first title. The Women placed 7th and are in position to significantly improve upon that this season.Â
