How It Happened
Franciscan Baseball hosted La Roche on Thursday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.Â
The Redhawks would get on the board first , as they would have the long ball working today. The Barons would tie it up in the second inning, as
Wade Stoehr scored on a passed ball. In the third the Redhawks would take a 4-1 lead after a pair of balls left the yard.
Jacob Watson would then deliver an RBI single in the home half of the inning to set the score at 4-2.
The Barons would get their bats going in the bottom of the sixth.
Peter Falconite came up with the bases loaded and one out. He delivered a two-RBI single to set the score at 11-4. With two outs, the Barons kept up the production.
Brendan Burke and
Jacob Watson both delivered RBI singles to give the Barons six runs. That would be it for the Barons' offense, as the Redhawks would go on to win by a score of 17-6.
