How It Happened
Franciscan Men's Lacrosse took their longest road trip of the season on Wednesday, as they traveled to Hamburg, New York to take on Hilbert. It would be well worth it, as the Barons claimed their sixth win of the season in dominant fashion.
Nathaniel Carter and Richard Vale II would find the back of the net in the opening two minutes to give Franciscan the lead. The Hawks would score one before Dominic Scordino took advantage of a power play to set the score at 3-1. The second quarter would be when Franciscan made their move. They netted seven goals from four different scorers to jump the lead to 10-2 at the half.
In the third, the Barons would keep Hilbert off the board. Fabian Onativia had nine saves while he picked up his sixth win of the season. The Barons tallied in eight second half goals while just giving up two late goals in the fourth quarter to give them a dominant 18-4 victory.
