Today's senior spotlight is Rachel Pergi a four-year member of the swimming & diving team from Steubenville, Ohio. She looks to end her collegiate career on a high note with a strong 2025-26 season which gets underway this Saturday at home. Pergi looks to be a major contributor in freestyle and relay events for the Barons.

What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming season?
Pergi: Getting faster and cheering on my teammates

What is your most memorable moment at Franciscan throughout your career?
Pergi: Studying abroad in Austria

What are your plans after graduating from Franciscan?
Pergi: I want to get more experience in photography, and eventually, I want to do underwater cinematography and make marine life documentaries

Who has made the biggest impact on your life?
Pergi: My parents and grandparents

What is the best piece of advice that you can give to the incoming freshmen at Franciscan?
Pergi: Four years really does go by fast - so enjoy every moment
