The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the Women's Soccer weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and Franciscan had one player honored. Bella Urso (Fr. Pittsburgh, Pa. / Fox Chapel) was named PAC Newcomer of the Week.

Urso had a hand both defensively and offensively in the Barons' 1-0-1 week. Wednesday against W&J, she played a big role for a defense which allowed just four total shots in a 1-1 draw. Then on Saturday against Westminster, Urso drew her first start of the year, scored the go-ahead goal just 1:22 into the match and would go on to play all 90 minutes for a back line which held the Titans to just two shots on net in an eventual 1-0 shutout for the Barons.

This is the first time that she has earned a PAC Weekly honor. 

The Barons take on Bethany on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Health System Field.
