The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the Men's Cross Country weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, and Franciscan had one player honored. Maxwell Bruns (Fr. Gilbert, Ariz. / Arete Preparatory) was named PAC Newcomer of the Week.

Bruns placed eighth at the Bethany Invitational in his first 8K collegiate race on Saturday. His time of 27:53.1 was the fastest among the NCAA Division III freshmen at this meet.

This is the second time that Bruns has earned a PAC Weekly honor this season.

The Barons will compete at the All-Ohio Championship on Friday at Cedarville, as they take on several of the best teams in the Great Lakes Region.
