Miller Earns First Shutout of the Season

Franciscan 1, Chatham 0

Starting XI
Benjamin James, Augustine Rubino, Andrew Goduti, Anthony Venditti, George Phillips, Anthony Lyons, Lucas Cross, Zachary Muldoon, Aidan Henninger, Colm Corcoran, & Goalkeeper - Aiden Miller

How It Happened
Chatham is one of the better teams in the PAC for men's soccer. Yesterday afternoon's game was the first PAC test for the Barons. Both teams took defensive postures and shots were extremely hard to come by. Even though the game was being held at zeros for a long time, the control of the ball and restarts were significantly in the favor of the Barons. They had seven corner kicks compared to the Cougars zero. If you keep knocking, eventually the door opens. However, I didn't think the Cougars would wait 88 minutes before finally opening the door, but after holding on for dear life for so long, the former Offensive Player of the Year scored his 5th goal of the season.
It is worth noting for all of coach Ridenour's fans, he has already surpassed coach Bobak as the all-time winningest coach at Franciscan and with yesterday's PAC victory he is now tied with coach Bobak for the most conference wins all-time.

By the Numbers
- Miller's shutout is the first of the season and the 11th of his career

Who's Next?
Franciscan remains on the road, as they travel to Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday. The Barons are 6-8-2 all-time against the Presidents, including a win against them last season. The Barons beat them 4-0 in 2024 with a pair of goals from Lucas Cross and four saves by Aiden Miller in goal. The Presidents held a winning record through non-conference play, and they are hoping that momentum will carry over to PAC play. W&J has not won a PAC playoff game since the 2020-21 season.
