Barons Drop Late Goal Against Comets

Franciscan 0, Capital 1

Starting XI
Zachary Muldoon, Benjamin James, Nathan Halberg, Augustine Rubino, Gabriel Velez Reveron, Andrew Goduti, Anthony Venditti, Lucas Cross, Aidan Henninger, Luke Aaron & Goalkeeper - Aiden Miller

How It Happened
The first half was a very physical match. Each team seeing multiple restart opportunities including free kicks deep in the attacking zone. Neither team was able to capitalize on the opportunities.
In the second half the physicality in the midfield as both teams were competing for control escalated and yellow cards began to come out in regularly with a total of six between the two teams in just the second half.
With a break down in the defensive end, the Comets Capital-ized on the golden opportunity to go up 1-0. With only 15 minutes remaining on the clock the Baron sense of urgency skyrocketed. There were numerous breath holding moments with the Comets goalkeeper lying on the ground and a loose ball up for grabs. However, the late sense of urgency was just a touch too late. The Barons drop to 1-2 and get ready to face their third OAC school in a week on Friday night.

Inside the Numbers
-Miller recorded three saves
-Cross & Goduti led the Barons in shots with four each

Who's Next?
