-.The Barons secured two impressive wins to capture the Doc Greene Tournament championship
- On Monday, they took down Stevenson 70-66, led by 20 points from Sawyer Butler and a 17 point, 11 rebound double-double from Zach Oliver
- In the championship game on Tuesday against the tournament host Juniata, the Barons gutted out an 85-79 victory
- Butler erupted for single-game school records of 49 points and eight made threes in the win
- He broke Sean Hickey's previous record of 41 points and the mark of seven made threes in a game, which was held by multiple players, including Butler and Hickey
- With their 8-2 record, the Barons have achieved their best start to a season since 1966-67. In that season, the Barons were able to start 9-2.

Scouting the Comets
- Capital comes into this matchup 6-6, with a 1-3 record in the OAC
- After winning their first four regular-season games, they have lost six of their last eight
- The Comets have five players averaging double-digit scoring, led by sophomore wing Se'Ron Callaway-White with 14.1 points per game
- Junior forward Chris Mitchell is averaging a near double-double with 11.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game

- Sawyer Butler has scored 20+ points in 27 games so far in his collegiate career. He has scored 30+ points six times.
- He became the second Baron to eclipse 40 points in a game, joining Sean Hickey '22, who did it in the 2020-21 season
- He sits 12th with 1,119 points on the all-time scoring ranks that go back to 1947. He trails Tim Herten '75 and Paul Kearns '57, who are tied with 1,129 points
- Butler broke the program record for most free throws made by a Baron. He sits at 323 makes while shooting 85% for his career.
- His 146 steals are the third most by a Baron all-time. Sean Hickey is second with 158, and Josh Zimmerman holds the record with 259. His 3.3 steals per game this season are the 9th most in NCAA Division III and lead the PAC.
- His 27.2 points per game would be the highest ever single-season average by a Baron, and he is currently third across all of Division III in scoring.
