The Latest

- After 15 games this season, Franciscan has won 10 and lost five games. With that record, the Barons keep its standing of first place in the conference.

- Last Friday at Allegheny College, Franciscan had a strong win against the Gators by a score of 3-0. During the game, the Barons completed 36 kills and 30 assists, in comparison to its opponent's 26 for both stats. During the three matches, the Barons scored 51 points, which led the team to victory.

The Yellow Jackets

- Also with 15 games played, the Yellow Jackets have won one game and lost the rest. This places Waynesburg currently in last place of the conference.

- Last Saturday at Grove City, the Yellow Jackets fell to the Grove City Wolverines by a score of 3-0.

- Leaders for this season include Kristina Zadrozny, Mallory Boyd, and Jordan Wade, scoring 100.5, 57.7, and 50.5 points for their team, respectively.

- Audrey Work leads her team by scoring 13 service aces this season.

Rising Through the Ranks

- During their tenth sweep victory last Friday, Logan Hickey and Anna Guard led by completing 11 and eight kills, respectively, while also completing a combination of five service aces. 

- Their teammates, Tessa Miller and Caroline Linkater also completed 6 and 5 kills, respectively.

Special Notes

- Besides being a conference game for the Barons, this game will be Franciscan's Youth Night game. 

- At this special event, all local grade school and high school volleyball programs (grades K-12) get to attend the game for FREE, if they are wearing their school T-shirt or jersey. 

- In between the second and the third set of the game, there will be a serving competition, a great opportunity for participants to win a T-shirt.
