How It Happened
On the opening night, the Barons competed in a pair of relays. In the 200 medley relay, the Barons had a pair of teams compete. The top team of Haley Fifield, Mary Therese Frank, Gabrielle Lewis, and Kate Kinst placed seventh with a time of 2:07.49. The group of Rachel Pergi, Rachel Comstock, Avery Schmitz, Janine Agapay placed 14th.

In the 800 freestyle relay, the group of Rachel Pergi, Avery Schmitz, Kate Kinst, and Gabrielle Lewis placed sixth with a time of 9:06.28.

That put the Barons in a tie for sixth place through just two scored events with many more to go. 

Up Next
Day #2 of the PAC Swimming and Diving Championships will be a busy one for the Barons. In the morning preliminaries, Franciscan will have swimmers in the 500 freestyle, 200 IM, and 50 freestyle. Those swimmers look to make it to the evening finals, which will have those events, as well as the 400 medley freestyle relay.
