How It Happened 
    The Barons had to feel both ends of the emotional spectrum in their 3-2 win over the Chatham Cougars tonight. The Barons struck first in the 18' with a goal by Goduti off a corner kick. George Phillips took the corner and found Mahony on the near side. Mahony flicked the ball up over his head finding Goduti on the far side. 
    Goduti added a second goal early in the second half followed by a goal from Peppiatt giving the Barons a 3-0 lead. The Barons felt the high of a commanding lead late in the game and the taste of their first PAC win of 2026 in the air. There was a chance at a fourth goal and a 4-0 lead after a free kick from the 30 yd mark. The Barons found Ludwig on the right side of the net and he beat the keeper, however the official called offside. The Barons challenged the offside call, but the camera view at that moment was ineffective and they lost out on a fourth goal. 
    What coach knew, and came true, was that Chatham was a talented team that was not going to back down just because of the deficit. That emotional high quickly faded as the Cougars tallied their first then second goal in a three minute span. Now facing a minimal 3-2 lead, the Barons had to hold on for the final two minutes to clinch the win and grab their three PAC points.
