2021: He played in all 35 games this season, while starting 34 of them for the Barons. Costello held a .423 batting average best on the team and the third best amongst all PAC players this season. He also led the Barons in slugging percentage (.654), on base percentage (.490), RBIs (42), doubles (15), home runs (5) and total bases (85). In each of those categories, he sits in the Top 3 amongst all PAC players this season. many are also new season records for a Franciscan player in a season, as Costello and his teammates have rewrote many batting records this season. He was a big reason behind Franciscan having the #2 offense in the conference, being #2 nationally ranked Washington & Jefferson. He also was steady with the glove in the field, as he held a .982 fielding percentage with a lot of action at first base. Costello had 19 multi-hit games this season. He drove in a season high four runs twice this season in games against Chatham and Thiel. In the four RBI day against Thiel, Costello launched two home runs, his lone multi-home run game of the season. Costello is amongst a very talented group of returners that look to improve on a great first season in the PAC.

2020: Played and started in all 11 games for the Barons in the shortened season ... batted .382 while he collected 13 hits ... had three doubles and one triple ... recorded a career high three hits in a game against North Central (MN) ... drove in eight runs and score three runs ... drove in two runs on three different occasions ... Was 0-1 as a pitcher ... pitched five innings while giving up six runs, only four being earned ... struck out three and walked six batters.
