How It Happened
The Franciscan Baseball team would run out to an early 3-0 lead in this one. Saint Vincent would come back to tie it in the final inning at 3-3.
Kyle Ferrance would deliver a walk-off single in the 7th to give Franciscan the game one win.
The Barons would strike first in the first inning with a pair of runs. With the bases loaded,
Joshua Costello would single in
Patrick Wallace.
Kyle Ferrance would then drive in
Chris Furka to give the Barons a 2-0 lead.
James Becker and
Noah Smith would each hit singles in the fourth inning. With two outs,
Chris Furka would single in Becker to widen the margin. A trio of singles would score the Beracats first run in the sixth inning.
Jacob Whitmore would end his quality start with two runs allowed in six innings plus of work.Â
Coach
Rick Carver would go to his closer,
Patrick Wallace. Wallace would get into a jam that would lead to runners on second and third. With two outs, Evan would deliver a single to center that plated a pair of runs to tie it up at 3-3.Â
The Barons would respond in the bottom half, as they would load the bases up before St. Vincent could record an out.
Kyle Ferrance would deliver a walk off single that would score
Noah Smith, and send us to game two with a win.Â

How It Happened
The Tomcats would strike first in game two, as the DH Evans would go yard for a two run homer in the first innings. The Barons would respond in the home half of the innings, as
Joshua Costello singled in
Patrick Wallace, and
Declan Peterson singled in Costello. The Barons would take their first lead of the game in the second inning, as they plated five runs on five hits and two Saint Vincent errors.Â
The Bearcats would respond with five hits of their own in the third, that would plate four runs to set the score at 7-6, Franciscan leading. The Barons would score six unanswered runs over the next three innings, to stretch the lead up to 13-6, and it seemed that they were cruising to another win. In the 7th, Saint Vincent would strike, as they scored four runs to pull within two.Â
Then in the 9th, the Bearcats would plate five to take the lead. Franciscan could not catch a break in the ninth, as the tying run was scored on a pop up bunt that fell in no man's land. The Bearcats would hold on in the ninth to win 16-14.Â
