How It Happened
The Franciscan Baseball team fell in game one against Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Leaders Washington & Jefferson by a score of 15-3.
The Barons would get on the scoreboard first, plating a run in the top of the first inning.
Chris Furka led off the game hitting a single through the right side. After Furka stole second,
Austin Horan delievered a single into right field, allowing Furka to score. The Presidents would answer, scoring one run in the bottom of the first and six runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 6-1 lead.
The Barons offense failed to string hits together, getting runners on base in the next few innings but could not plate a run. W&J would force the Barons starter
Jacob Whitmore from the game in the fifth inning, piling on eight more runs to build a 15-1 lead. Franciscan would cut into the deficit in the top of the sixth inning. After
Patrick Wallace reach on an error and advanced to second base, Horan would hit a hard ground ball to second, causing an error and allowing Wallace to score.
Joshua Costello followed with a single to put runners on the corners. Pinch hitter
Andrew Normandin, smacked a hard ground ball to the right side allowing Horan to score. The Barons could pull no closer, falling 15-3.

How It Happened
The Barons could not recover from their game on defeat, falling by a score of 12-0.
Franciscan fell in an early hole, allowing seven runs in the first three innings. The Presidents would force starting pitcher
Jacob Watson from the game in the fifth inning, building the lead to 10 runs. Franciscan's offense struggled to get going, only recording two hits in the first five innings of action.
The Barons best scoring chance came in the seventh inning.
Kyle Ferrance would hit a double, but later in the inning got caught trying to steal third.
Andrew Normandin doubled down the left field line and
Joshua Speaker followed with a single to put runners on the corners, but the Barons failed to score a run. Washington & Jefferson would tack on two runs, winning 12-0.
