How It Happened
The Franciscan men's lacrosse team opened up PAC play against Washington & Jefferson at home on Saturday afternoon. The Presidents had a strong start that they would be able to hold onto to hand the Barons their first PAC loss of the season.
After a pair of Washington & Jefferson goals, Franciscan would get on the board with Gavin Cook scoring on an assist from Alexander Dhabliwala. The Barons would find the back of the net halfway through the second quarter on a ripped shot from Dominic Scordino. Dominic Rohan would score his first of the a little later to set the score at 7-3. The Presidents would add a late first half goal to send us to halftime trailing 8-3.
Rohan would score the first goal of the second half to pull the Barons to within four goals of the lead. The Presidents would go on to score seven unanswered goals to end this one at a score of 15-4.

Who's Next?
Franciscan will head to PAC rival Thiel next Saturday for a big conference matchup. The Barons are in search of their first win against the Tomcats after playing them tough twice last season. In their non-conference matchup in Greenville, they lost 12-10 in a back and forth game. Elijah Evans, Daniel Clayton, and Gavin Cook each scored three goals in the battle, but the Tomcats were able to hold on to a 7-3 first half lead.

Franciscan University Athletics is partnering with Steubenville Conferences to offer summer sports camps in conjunction with the Steubenville Main Campus 1 (June 9-12th, 2022) and 3 (June 23-26th, 2022). Youth Conferences. Participants will be able to strengthen both their athletic skills and their relationship with Christ in this uniquely Franciscan hybrid experience.
