How It HappenedÂ
The Franciscan Men's Lacrosse team hosted Chatham at home on Wednesday night for a PAC conference matchup. Action would be back and forth in the first half, but then the Cougars would pull away late to win.
Chatham would score quickly to start this one, but Franciscan would respond with an equalizer when Alexander Dhabliwala scored. After a pair of Chatham goals, Franciscan would pick up their second of the night when Samuel Marshall found the back of the net. Dominic Scordino would be the third different goal scorer for the Barons in the opening quarter, but the Cougars would go to the second up 4-3. Scordino would find the equalizer to tie this one up for the second time with a filthy goal. Unfortunately the Cougars would get some momentum going, as they went a 4-1 run to end the half with an 8-5 edge.Â
The Cougars would come out hot in the third quarter, as four straight goals would give them a seven goal lead. Gavin Cook would end the run with a nice goal on an assist from Samuel Marshall. Chatham then scored five unanswered as we flowed into the fourth quarter. Franciscan would show no quit though, as they added on four unanswered of their own to end this one with a score of 17-10.
Inside the NumbersÂ
