Highlights for the Barons
- On Thursday night,
Alexander Blose would get the Barons on the board in the pole vault with a fourth place finish.
John Maedke placed 17th in the 100m, and
Isaac Turner placed 22nd in the javelin. That would set the Barons at tied for eighth in the team standings with five points. Grove City had the lead with 56 points through one day.Â
- In the 200m dash, Maedke just missed the podium with a 10th place finish. He posted a time of 23.06 seconds.Â
- The Barons would get 14 points in the 400m.
Ryan Ozymy earned a silver medal with a time of 48.97 seconds, as he broke his program record time. Right behind him was his teammate,
Joseph Rohde in third with a time of 49.41 seconds.

David Cappello kept up the success, as he took home bronze in the 800m. He posted a time of 1:54.56.Â

Miguel Daez earned a second place finish in the 1500m just six hundredths of a second ahead of the third place runner from Washington & Jefferson. He ran this event in a time of 4:02.64.

John Sicree would earn four points with a fifth place finish in the 400m hurdles. His time of 58.34 seconds was a new personal best time and second fastest time in school history.

David Di Nardo also posted a new personal best time in the 3000m steeplechase. He placed sixth with a time of 10:04.16.
Conal Delaney made it two Barons on the podium, as he placed eighth in this event.
- The Barons competed in the 4x100 relay with a team of
John Sicree,
John Maedke,
Dwayne Gethard, and
Charles Jardine. They posted a time of 45.49 to place seventh.

Nicholas Brass earned the Barons some points in the field with a sixth place finish in the shot put. His best throw traveled 13.05m.
- In the final running event, the 4x400 relay, the team of
Miguel Daez,
Joseph Rohde,
David Cappello, and
Ryan Ozymy took home gold, while breaking their own school record time. The posted a time of 3:21.97 to earn the first gold of the day for the men.

Franciscan will have several athletes continue on their seasons with hopes of qualifying for the NCAA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships. They will travel back to Baldwin Wallace for the Harrison Dillard Twilight on May 11th-12th to improve their positioning.Â
