The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the Women's Volleyball weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and Franciscan had one player honored.
Logan Hickey (Fr. Richmond, Ohio / Seton Home Study) was named PAC Newcomer of the Week.
Hickey totaled 57 kills over three matches at the Great Lakes Crossover, averaging 4.75 kills per set to lead the PAC through the opening week of play. The freshman outside hitter opened the tournament with 26 kills in a five-set win over Baldwin Wallace, setting the program's freshman single-match record and tying for the second-most kills in a match in Baron history. She followed with 11 kills against Muskingum and recorded her first collegiate double-double against Concordia Chicago with 20 kills and 13 digs. Hickey finished the week hitting .246 with 29 digs.
This is the first time that she has earned a PAC Weekly honor.
The Barons remain on the road, as they head to Kenyon on Saturday for a tri-match with Kalamazoo.
