Short Story:Â The Barons performed well against several Division I and II schools in their first meet of the 2026 calendar year.

Highlights for the Women
- Mary Durnan was the fastest Baron in the 60m with a time of 8.63 seconds.
- Welcome back to Lauren Dosch. In her first competition of the academic year, she posted a time of 1:01.90 in the 400m. That time is the 6th fastest in program history and very close to her personal best.
- Emily Maag posted a time of 5:31.75 in the mile to place 20th.
- Kathryn Bolster placed 15th in the 800m with a time of 2:32.06
- Teresa Meli was the fastest of eight Barons in the 3000m, as she placed 11th with a time of 11:15.49.
- Maria McInnis had an impressive long jump of 4.70m, the second-best in school history.
- The Barons ended the day with an 11th place finish in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:30.86.
Highlights for the Men
- Mark Biagi was the fastest Baron in the 60m. He posted a time of 7.46 seconds. AJ Gates, Anthony Fernandes, and Luke Tran were all under eight seconds as well.Â
- Luke Hurley and Daniel Wilson competed in the mile. Hurley edged out Wilson by five seconds with a time of 4:30.81.
- Nicholas Brass placed 23rd in the shot put with a best throw of 12.52m.
- Joseph Rohde placed 11th in the 400m with his best time of the season, 50.30 seconds. Dwayne Gethard was just a little over a second behind him in 20th.
- Thomas Baus was the lone Baron to run the 800m, as he posted a time of 2:09.79.
- Barons finished back-to-back in the 3000m, as Maxwell Bruns placed 21st and Luke Hurley placed 22nd.Â
- AJ Gates had a best pole vault of 3.95m, tied for fifth-best in program history.
- Luke Tran broke his own program record in the triple jump with a best performance of 10.89m.
Up Next
The Barons will return to action on Saturday, January 24th at Muskingum. They will compete in Muskie Meet #2. This will be the second year in a row that the Barons will compete in this meet.Â
