The Latest

- With 14 games played this season, the Barons have won four, lost six, and tied four. Currently, Franciscan is tied for 4th place with Waynesburg University in the PAC.

- Last Wednesday at Geneva, Franciscan fell to the Golden Tornadoes by a score of 1-0. While no goals were scored during the first half of the game, the Tornadoes scored a goal near the end of the second half, winning the game.

- During the game, the goalie, Aiden Miller, came off with an injury. However, the Barons did not let that stop them. His teammate, Zachary Burgess, filled in for the rest of the game. The goalies each performed five saves, giving the Barons a total of 10 for the game.

Facing the Yellow Jackets

- After playing 16 games this season, the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets have won eight, lost six, and tied two. The team stands in fourth place, tied with Franciscan, in the PAC currently.

- Last Wednesday against Westminster, the Yellow Jackets had a strong victory by a score of 3-0.

- With 20 points scored this season, John Engel leads his team. His teammate, Sarpong Kwabiah, follows with 14 points.

- Engel, Kwabiah, and Matthew Serrano co-lead by each shooting two game-winning goals for Geneva this season.

Rising Through the Ranks

- During the battle against the Golden Tornadoes, the goalies performed seven more saves than the opposing goalie, keeping Franciscan from a greater loss. This season, the two goalies, Miller and Burgess, have also recorded 86 total saves. Miller, who has played 14 games this season so far, has contributed 77 of them.

- As a team, Franciscan is free from red cards, and has 35 less fouls than its opposing teams this season.

- Staying strong, Andrew Goduti continues to lead the Barons in points, shots, and goals.

Special Notes

- Since 2007, Franciscan has played 18 games against Waynesburg University, winning 11, losing five, and tying two. Last season, the matchup ended with a tie by a score of 3-3.

- Goduti, along with two other former players, scored one goal during the game, while Anthony Venditti contributed with two assists.
