How it Happened
- Andrew Menck was the first Baron to compete. In the long jump, he had a best jump of 5.51 meters.
- Luke Tran had the third best showing in program history in the triple jump with a jump of 10.73m.
- In pole vault, AJ Gates reached the podium in his first championship. He registered a personal best clearance of 4.10m, which is the third-best in program history.Â
- Four Barons ran in the first running event of the day, the 5000m and three of them placed in the top 10. Maxwell Bruns reached the podium with a PR time of 15:28.72. Seamus Sommers ran a PR time of 15:45.56, and after a runner was DQ'd he got one team point in eighth place. Micah Bragg was just behind Sommers in ninth, and Jack McKnight placed 14th.
- Menck was the lone Baron to run the 60m. He posted a time of 7.27 seconds.
- Daniel Wilson and Luke Hurley ran the mile. Hurley came through with the best finish by a Baron thus far, as he placed fourth with a season-best time. Wilson placed 13th in the tightly contested mile.
- Dwayne Gethard and Joseph Rohde were the Barons to run the 400m. Rohde was the first Baron to medal, as he placed third in one of the closest 400m in PAC Championship history. Third through fifth were within two hundredths of a second, and Rohde won that battle by the thinnest margins to earn a medal and his ninth All-PAC honoring of his decorated career.Â
- Menck concluded his busy day with the 200m. He placed 18th with a time of 23.00 seconds.
- The distance depth of the Barons was on display in the 3000m. Bragg, Sommers, Bruns, and McKnight all competed in this event to go along with the 5k earlier. Freshman Maxwell Bruns earned his first PAC medal with a third-place finish to lead the Barons. He ran it in a time of 9:02.21.
- In the distance medley relay, the group of Thomas Baus, Chris Geiger, Luke Hurley, Daniel Wilson made a trip to the podium. They ran a time of 11:10.70 to place fourth.Â
- In the final event of the night, the 4x400 relay, the group of Maxwell Bruns, Dwayne Gethard, Joseph Rohde, John Sicree placed fourth as well. They ran the event in a time of 3:24.39, the second-fastest in program history.
- Also, the PAC announced the All-Sportsmanship Team, with Daniel Wilson earning that exclusive honor.

A handful of athletes may make a run at dropping their times at Last Chance meets to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships. The Outdoor season is slated to start at West Virginia University on the weekend of March 20th.Â
