The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the women's volleyball and women's soccer awards on Monday afternoon, and Franciscan had two athletes honored: freshman Reese Anderson Center, Co. / Queen of Heaven Academy) and sophomore Callie Giguere (Piqua, Ohio / Lehman Catholic). Anderson won Newcomers of the Week, while Giguere won Goalkeeper of the Week.

Anderson helped the Barons to a 2-0 week, averaging 6.50 assists and 1.67 digs per set in the two matches. In Wednesday's sweep at W&J, Anderson dished out a season-high 23 assists along with five digs. She added another 16 assists and five digs in Saturday's three-set Homecoming win over Wilmington (Ohio). Giguere recorded her fifth and sixth shutouts in a row last week in the 3-0 win over Chatham Wednesday and the 1-0 victory against Westminster Saturday. She turned away three shots in the Chatham clean sheet and made five saves in the win over Westminster, as the Barons extended their season-opening unbeaten streak to 6-0-1. Giguere hasn't allowed a goal in in more than 581 minutes.

Anderson and Giguere both return to action Wednesday night. Anderson and women's volleyball play at Bethany at 6 PM, while Giguere and women's soccer compete against Saint Vincent at 5 PM.
