WESTERVILLE – The Franciscan men's track and field team posted four Indoor ECAC DIII marks as the men's and women's track teams competed at the DIII All-Ohio Indoor Championships hosted by Otterbein, Saturday.
Sophomore
Liam Galligan (Springfield, PA/Galligan Academy) finished second overall and won his section in the 800-meter run as he finished with a time of 1:57.16, good enough to earn him a spot at the DIII Indoor ECAC championships in March.
Sophomore
Mark Borek (Hamburg, MI/Detroit Catholic Central) and senior
Nick Long (Youngstown, OH/Boardman) each qualified for the indoor championships in the 3,000-meter run after finishing seventh and eighth, respectively. Borek took seventh with a time of 8:57.36 while Long took eighth with a time of 8:58.91.
Galligan and graduate student
Carlo Fabian (Steubenville, OH/Catholic Central), sophomore
Austen Duggan (Steubenville, OH/Steubenville), and senior
Jim Craig (Steubenville/Seton Home Study) qualified for the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:34.29 as the team took seventh overall after winning their section.
On the women's side, senior
Grace Galligan (Springfield, PA/Home School) won her section of the one-mile run and 11
th overall with a time of 5:28.32. The 4x400-meter relay team of Galligan, Claire Dawyot,
Ashlin LaFond (Menomonee Falls, WI/Brookfield Academy), and Beth Flanagan (Needham, MA/Seton Home Study) took 11
th overall with a time of 4:32.00.
The track and field teams will compete at Kent State University next Saturday.
