How It Happened
It would require extra innings for Franciscan to earn their first win against Bethany this season, as they won 7-5 in 10 innings. Franciscan would plate a pair of runs in the 10th. One came off a triple by Patrick Wallace, and the other off an Austin Horan sacrifice fly.

Bethany would get on the board first, as they would score one run in the bottom of the first inning. Joshua Speaker would respond for Franciscan in the next half inning, as he hit a two run home run in the top of the second inning to give Franciscan the lead. Joshua Costello would help extend the lead in the third, as he doubled in Austin Horan to set the score at 3-1.

Franciscan starter Noah Smith would get into a jam in the fourth inning, which would result in a pair of runs for Bethany. That would tie this one back up at 3-3. In the bottom of the seventh, Bethany added another run on a sacrifice fly, to give them the lead 4-3 and closing the book on Smith with three earned runs. Joshua Costello would step up again for Franciscan, as he plated a pair of runs on a double in the eighth inning to give Franciscan the lead back at 5-4.

Franciscan's closer Patrick Wallace would take the ball in the 8th inning, and he would not able to hold the lead. Right fielder Ethan Young would connect on a ball that sailed over the left field fence, to tie this one up at 5-5. No one could score in the ninth, so we were headed to extra innings.

Chris Furka led off the 10th inning with a double down the left field line. Patrick Wallace would deliver a shot to right center that would score Furka and send Wallace all the way to third base with a triple. The next batter, Austin Horan would deliver a deep ball to center field that would score Wallace on a sacrifice fly. Wallace would continue his stron pitching performance, by shutting down the Bison in the bottom half of the tenth to give the Barons a PAC conference win.

How It Happened
Franciscan would keep up their Sunday success in the second one, the non-conference seven inning game.

The bases would load up full of Barons, and Franciscan would plate four more runs this inning without another hit. Three RBIs would come off walks and one when Austin Horan was hit by a pitch. That would give Franciscan a 7-1 lead.

Bethany would plate four runs in the next two innings, to pull with two of the lead, bu they would not be able to level the score. Burke added to his strong day, as he drove in Costello on a single in the fourth. Declan Peterson helped add more insurance in the fifth, as he drove in Noah Smith on a sacrifice fly. Burke continued to add on runs, as he drove in one more run in the sixth, as he reached onan error by the shortstop.
