Short Story: On a wet day in Morgantown, conditions were not ideal for fast times, but Franciscan holds their own with talented field.

Race Highlights for the Women

• Freshman Brigid Mack placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 39.19m.
• Four Lady Barons ran in the 1500 meter with Shannon Wieszczek leading the way in 13th place with a time of 5:09.28.
• Jessica Campbell placed 12th in the 800 meter with a time of 2:27.28. Fellow freshman Rachel Hurley placed 15th.
• Alison Bryant ran to a second place finish in the 3000 meter steeplechase while beating one Division I runner. 

Race Highlights for the Men

• Easton Syvertson edged out teammate David Cappello to finish 6th in the 400 meter with a time of 51.60. Austin Duggan and Francisco Tona placed 10th and 11th.
• Joseph Rohde placed 7th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.27.
• Miguel Daez was the top Franciscan finisher in the 800 meter, as he placed 11th with a time of 1:58.04.
• Joseph Rohde improved on his seed time in the 200 meter dash, as he placed 5th with a time of 22.79.
• Mark Borek placed third in the 5000 meter runs with David Di Nardo not far behind him in sixth. 

Up Next
Franciscan will now have a handful of athletes continue to push to make the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in four different meets over the next week and half. The first meet will be this Thursday at future PAC conference foe Allegheny.
