Steubenville, Ohio - The Franciscan Men's Track & Field team completed another successful season in 2023. They claimed a fourth place finish in the Indoor season at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, and the Outdoor season they placed sixth. Nine indoor records were broken as well as six records in the outdoor season, as it was a season with a ton a positives to build off of next season.
- Ryan Ozymy and Joseph Rohde each broke three records throughout the season in the sprints to mid-distance. Rohde claimed the 60m as well as the indoor and outdoor record in the 200m. Ozymy flourished outdoors as he claimed the 400m and 800m marks there after breaking the 400m indoors.
- Alexander Blose was a breakout field athlete for the Barons, as he claimed five records in his first season in Steubenville. He was the first athlete to participate in the pole vault and heptathlon over the 15 year history of the program. He showed his talents on the track as well in the outdoor season, as he broke the school record in the 110m hurdles.
- Aidan Flannery and Nicholas Brass excelled in the field this indoor season as well with new best marks in the high jump and shot put each respectively.
- The last of the individual records to fall was the 800m in the indoor season. That was broken by David Cappello, and with that time, he was named All-Great Lakes Region in that event as well.
- The Barons also broke the school record in the 4x400m relay during the indoor and outdoor seasons.
