Short Story:Â Franciscan made the short trip to Muskingum with a small roster of athletes to compete in their first meet of the 2024 calendar year.

Highlights for the Women
- Clara Symington just edged out Rebecca Bolster in 60 meter dash with a time of 8.66 seconds to Bolster's 8.67. Both just missed qualification for the finals.Â
- MaryElizabeth Savage placed 5th in the 3000m run with a time of 13:30.62 to earn five points for the Barons.
- Jessica Campbell placed seventh in the mile with a time of 5:42.48.
- Symington ran in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.63 seconds to place ninth. Rebecca Bolster was just behind her with a time of 28.86 seconds.
Highlights for the Men
- Â Alexander Blose and Joseph Rohde both qualified for the finals in the 60 meter dash. They placed 7th and 8th in the final with Blose having a new personal best time of 7.23 seconds. That time would be the fourth fastest in Franciscan Indoor history
- Rohde placed eighth in the 200m dash with a time of 23.82 seconds.Â
- Charles Jardine had a career-best shot put of 12.60 meters (41' 4.25") to place ninth. That would also be the third farthest in Franciscan Indoor history.Â
- Alexander Blose cleared 3.80 meters (12' 5.50") in the pole vault. That would be the third best performance of his collegiate career.Â
Up Next
The Barons will head north to the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio next weekend to compete in their Midwest Invitational. This will be the second year in a row that they have competed in this meet which will have a very talented field of athletes.Â
