Highlights for the Women
- In the first running event of the morning, 3000m run, Emma O'Keefe, MaryElizabeth Savage, and Kendra Antol would represent Franciscan. O'Keefe was the first ti finish with a time of 13:00.60.
- Rebecca Bolster posted a time of 8.79 seconds in the 60m dash.
- MaryKate McCusker posted a time of 6:31.69 in the mile run.
- Lauren Dosch shattered her program record in the 800m by nearly four seconds. The freshman placed second among 81 runners with a time of 2:15.53 less than two tenths of a second behind the first place finisher. Jessica Campbell placed sixth with a personal record time of 2:19.21.Â
- In the afternoon running of the 3000m, Claire Walters made her season debut with a time of 10:41.15 to place 16th. She was the top finishing Division III athlete in the race.
- In the final running event, 4x400 relay, the Barons broke their program record time by more than 11 seconds. Rebecca Bolster, Lauren Dosch, Clara Symington, and Jessica Campbell combined to run a time of 4:06.52. That is the top time in the PAC this season by four seconds.
- Kimbria Lance had a best clearance of 3.00m in the pole vault.Â
- Brigid Mack threw in the shot put for the first time this season. She had a best throw od 8.42m
Highlights for the Men
- In shot put, Nicholas Brass had his best throw of this indoor season, as he hurled one 13.15m. That is tied for second best in program history. Charles Jardine threw one 12.46, and Raphael Blose had a best throw of 8.56m.
- The Barons had a young relay team of Thomas Dittmer, Seamus Sommers, Dominic Young, and Eduardo Torres run the distance medley relay. They placed 6th with a time of 12:04.89.
- Luke Tran was the fastest Baron in the 60m with a time of 7.81 secondsÂ
- Seamus Sommers posted a time of 4:47.14 in the mile to place 66th.
- Joseph Rohde placed 28th in the 400m with a time of 51.29 seconds. Dwayne Gethard was a half second behind him in 39th place.
- In the 4x400 relay, Dwayne Gethard, Ryan Ozymy, John Sicree, and Joseph Rohde combined to run a time of 3:24.93 to place sixth. That is the second fastest time in program history.
- Luke Tran had a best long jump of 4.28m. Alexander Blose cleared 3.95m in the pole vault.
Up Next
The Barons will return to Muskingum on Friday. It will be a return trip, as they competed there on January 13th. This will be there last meet to finish preparations for the PAC Championship which will be on February 22nd.
