Highlights
- In the 60m hurdles, Alexander Blose made it to the finals with a PR in the prelims with a time of 8.68 seconds. He would improve upon that in the finals, as his time of 8.54 seconds would earn him a bronze medal.
- Andrew Menck led the way for the Barons in the 60m dash with a time of 7.19Â to place tenth. Luke Tran placed 28with a time of 7.74 seconds. Both of their times were new personal records.
- Four Barons ran in the mile and all would run personal best times. Seamus Sommers led the way with a time of 4:41.60 to place 11th. Thomas Dittmer placed 15th with a time of 4:54.08, Eduardo Torres was just behind him in 16th, and Dominic Young placed 21st..
- A pair of Barons made trips to the podium in the 400m. Ryan Ozymy placed second with a time of 49.72 seconds. Joseph Rohde was not far behind him in fourth with a time of 50.20 seconds.
- Dominic Young was the lone Baron in the 800m. He placed 16th with a time of 2:16.84 which was a new personal-best time.
- Menck was in the final heat of the 200m, and he would make his first trip to the podium. He placed 6th with a time of 22.78 seconds.
- Thomas Dittmer and Eduardo Torres ran in the 3000m. Torres crossed the finish line in a time of 10:12.29 to place 19th. Dittmer was not far behind in 21st place.
- In the 4x400 relay, Dwayne Gethard, Joseph Rohde, John Sicree, and Ryan Ozymy came into the event seeded first, and they would not disappoint. The would break the school record with a time of 3:23.81 to take home gold in the final running event of the championship
- Alexander Blose reached the podium once again in the pole vault. He placed third to take home his second bronze with a best showing of 3.95m.
- Four Barons would throw in the shot put and a pair made the podium. Nicholas Brass broke his own school record with a PR of 13.82m to place fifth. Charles Jardine placed seventh with a best throw of 13.14m. Tyson Smith Jr. and Raphael Blose tied in 21st with best throws of 9.91m.
Up Next
The Barons will return to action next weekend, as they travel to Mount Union. They will compete int their Final Qualifier in the hopes of improving their times to qualify for the NCAA National Championships.Â
