Highlights for the Women
- Claire Walters had the best finish of the day. She placed third in the 5000m with a time of 18:56.90. That time is the fourth fastest in program history.
- Jessica Campbell, reigning PAC Track Athlete of the Week, continued her strong start to the season. She placed fourth in the mile with a time of 5:17.25. That time was a new personal record and third fastest in school history.Â
- Rebecca Bolster posted a time of 1:08.68 in the 400m to place 15th.Â
- Grace Sheets placed 19th in the 800m with a time of 2:51.64.
- Maria McInnis had a best jump of 4.52m to place 15th in the long jump. Nora Hilgeman placed 19th.
- In the final event, 4x400 relay, the Barons placed sixth. The team of Kathryn Bolster, Rebecca Bolster, Jessica Campbell, and Lauren Dosch combined to run a time of 4:25.04 in their first time running this event this season.
Highlights for the Men
- Headlining an impressive day for the men, Mark Biagi broke the school record in the high jump while placing fourth. His best clearance of 1.87m (6' 1.50") beat the record by over three inches.
- John Sicree was the fastest Baron in the 60m dash with a time of 7.37 seconds to place 19th out of 75 runners.
- Andrew Madigan placed eighth in the 3000m run with a time of 9:05.67. This was his first time running in this event in his collegiate career.
- Luke Hurley placed 12th with a time of 2:06.36 in the 800m.Â
- Sicree had another strong finish in the 200m. He placed 20th with a time of 24.08 seconds.
- Nicholas Brass placed 10th in the shot put with a best throw of 12.67m.Â
- Daniel Bolster improved upon his showing last week in the long jump with a best showing of 5.74m to place 23rd.
- The men ended the night with a 10th place finish in the 4x400 relay. The team of Thomas Baillargeon, Daniel Bolster, Dwayne Gethard, and Luke Hurley posted a time of 3:51.64.
Up Next
The Barons return to Youngstown State next weekend for the YSU Mid-Major. It will be another deep, talented field of athletes across all NCAA levels. It will also let the Barons get another competition at the same venue that they will be at for the PAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in the end of February.Â
