Short Story: Several Barons hit PRs at Indoor Championships, as they place 9th overall.

How it Happened

• John Sicree qualified for the finals in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.07 seconds. He followed that up with a personal-best time of 9.00 seconds to place sixth and earn three points for the Barons.
• Mark Biagi placed just off the podium with a personal record time of 7.29 seconds in the 60m dash.
• Luke Hurley posted a PR time of 4:23.64 in the mile to place fifth and earn his first trip to the podium.
• Dwayne Gethard kept up the success for Franciscan, as he placed fifth in the 400m with a time of 51.94. Sicree just missed the podium in 11th.
• Thomas Baus posted a PR time of 2:09.77 to place 14th in the 800m. Daniel Bolster was not far behind him in 17th.
• Gethard fell just short of a second podium trip in the 200m, as he placed 15th with a time of 23.30 seconds.
• Aidan Mohr ran a personal record time of 10:09.83 in the 3,000m to place 17th.
• Nicholas Brass got the Barons back on the podium with a season-best throw of 13.63m in the shot put. That was the second-best throw in program history, as he placed fifth to give the Barons four more points.
• In the distance medley relay (DMR), the Barons placed sixth. The team of Daniel Wilson, Conal Delaney, Thomas Baus, and Luke Hurley combined to run a time of 11:20.08.
• In the final event of the Championship, the 4x400 relay, the Barons placed seventh to secure a few final points. The team of Thomas Baillargeon, Mark Biagi, John Sicree, and Dwayne Gethard combined to run a time of 3:32.76 in their first time running this event all together.

The PAC released their All-Sportsmanship Team upon the conclusion of the championship, and Francisco Tona was the Baron to be named to this exclusive team.

Up Next
The Barons will head south to kick off the outdoor season in Myrtle Beach over spring break. They will compete in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge on March 14th-15th.
