How it Happened
In the highly competitive men's 400m open,
Dwayne Gethard placed 5th with his PR of 50.25. He was just a few tenths of a second off medaling in a race that saw two runners set top 100 fastest DIII times.
John Sicree also posted a PR earning his bronze medal in the 400m High Hurdles.
Ryan Ozymy was the highest finishing individual runner for the Barons. He posted a 1:53.98 time in the 800m open earning him second place.
Luke Hurley ran his PR time of 4:06.49 in the 1500m run to earn 3rd. The 4x100m relay team missed out on a top 3 finish, but ran a school record 42.60. The highlight of the day was the 4x400m relay team. They ran a school record 3:20.34 and currently the #78 fastest time in DIII. That time was good enough for 2nd place and only seven tenths of a second shy of the win.
The men added two team points in field events from shot putterÂ
Nicholas Brass placing 7th to round out their scoring of 42 points and placing 7th in the Conference out of 11 teams.
The PAC released their All-Sportsmanship Team upon the conclusion of the championship, and
Daniel Wilson was the Baron named to this exclusive team.

The Barons will travel up to Baldwin Wallace next week to compete in the Harrison Dillard Twilight on May 8th and 9th. This may be the last chance for any athletes to qualify for the NCAA National Championship which will be held near the end of the month in Ohio.
